New this week

A permanent portfolio on your storefront

Your public storefront can now include a portfolio of up to 30 images that stays separate from expiring client galleries. Upload individual photos or folders, watch each file progress, reorder the finished grid, and manage everything beside the live storefront preview. Visitors can open the images in a clean fullscreen viewer without seeing filenames, download controls, or editing actions.

Learn how

Callback requests become client conversations

Your storefront can now invite visitors to request a callback with their name, contact information, and message. You can customize the section copy, form title, and portrait, show it with or without published packages, and choose whether the packages area appears at all. Each request creates or reconnects the right person in Vignette, saves their message in the People drawer, and sends the studio an in-app and optional email notification.

Learn how

Mini sessions are easier to publish and follow up on

Mini-session details now provide a clear Publish action before the event appears on your storefront, then switch to Send reminders after publication. Availability shows Draft, Awaiting signups, Fully booked, or Canceled independently from each client’s workflow. Clients who reserve a slot are also linked to that exact session and time in People, making it easier to open the right booking later.

Learn how

Client galleries feel at home on phones and tablets

Client galleries now use visual album cards that jump directly to each section, with a quick way back to the album index as visitors move through the page. Touch users can reveal photo actions without relying on hover, select and download a group of photos as a ZIP within their download allowance, and move through the fullscreen viewer with horizontal swipes. A vertical swipe or scroll closes the viewer, while improved sizing keeps photos and controls inside the available mobile screen.

Learn how

Time zones that follow each shoot

A booking can now use the time zone detected from its verified location instead of forcing every session into the studio default. The active time zone sits beside the location, can be changed manually when needed, and keeps session times, golden-hour guidance, payment dates, contracts, and client details aligned for destination work.

Learn how

Booking categories and faster package reuse

Every booking now has its own photography category, and choosing a package carries that category into the session without tying future edits back to the package. Packages have a compact category filter with counts, and any package can be duplicated from its menu when you want a quick starting point for a similar offering.

Learn how

Custom amounts for installment plans

When a payment plan has multiple installments, you can now edit the amount of any non-retainer payment instead of accepting only an even split. Vignette automatically rebalances the remaining payments so the schedule still matches the booking total exactly, validates that every installment retains a payable amount, and commits an edit when you press Enter or leave the field.

Learn how

External contracts stay actionable

Externally signed agreements with an uploaded PDF can now be downloaded directly from the booking. An active external contract can be replaced in place or removed when it no longer applies. For Vignette contracts that have already been sent, viewed, or returned with a change request, editing continues through a replacement draft so the dispatched version remains preserved as read-only history.

Learn how

Shared links that look like your work

Booking and gallery links now create more useful previews in text messages and social apps. Booking cards can use the session title, package, studio name, and cover image; gallery cards can use the gallery name, description, photo count, and display-ready cover. Private workflow and client details stay out of the preview, and previewing a gallery link does not mark it as viewed.

Learn how

Plans built around the storage you need

Capture is now $35 per month with 250 GB of storage, while Focus is $50 per month with 1 TB. Annual billing remains available at $350 and $500 respectively, and every plan still includes every live Vignette feature. Customers who join during the limited Unlimited offer can keep it at $35 per month while their account stays active.

Learn how

Fixes and refinements

Booking status reflects what is actually due

Booking lists now distinguish payments that are up to date, due now, past due, or failed instead of treating every unfinished schedule as the same state. Future installments remain visible after a retainer completes the booking workflow, while confirmation and signature requirements still appear before payment when they are the client’s next step.

Learn how

Gallery uploads preserve your intended order

Gallery creation and add-photo flows now accept individual images, complete folders, and nested folders dragged into the upload area. Folder uploads follow the natural order photographers see in Finder or Explorer, including numbered filenames such as IMG_2 before IMG_10. Vignette also finalizes uploaded photos in the order you selected them, so faster files no longer jump ahead while the batch is processing.

Learn how

Large gallery downloads use less memory

Clients can download only the photos they select as one ZIP file, including when a gallery has a per-recipient download allowance. Complete-gallery ZIP files now stream directly to the browser instead of being assembled in application memory, making large downloads more dependable while preserving download limits, skipped-file reporting, and duplicate filenames safely.

Learn how

Second-shooter assignments reuse the right person

Adding a second shooter with an email that already belongs to an active Person now adds the second-shooter role to that existing record and continues the assignment. This avoids duplicate People entries while preserving any client or other roles that person already has.
