Create and Manage Packages

Create, filter, duplicate, archive, and publish reusable photography service packages.

Vignette packages are reusable service templates for photographers. A package stores the service name, category, description, cover image, price, retainer, duration, delivery timeline, deliverables, and optional contract template in one place.

When you use a package in Bookings or publish it to your storefront, Vignette pre-fills booking details, contract setup, and client-facing storefront information with data from the package. This keeps the service name, pricing, duration, deliverables, and other package details consistent wherever the package is used.

Filter packages by category

Open the Category filter to narrow the workspace to one type of package. Select All Packages to show every package, or choose a category such as Wedding, Event, Real estate, or Other to show only matching packages.

The number beside a category shows how many packages currently use it. Filtering changes only what you see in the Packages workspace; it does not change a package or affect whether it appears on your storefront.

Create a package

  1. Open Packages.
  2. Select Add Package.
  3. Enter a Name, choose a Category, and describe what is included.
  4. Add a cover image if the package will appear publicly. Vignette recommends a 16:9 image.
  5. Set the Price, optional Retainer, and session duration in Hours and Minutes.
  6. Enter the expected Delivery timeline.
  7. Enter each Deliverable, then select Add. Include everything the client should receive.
  8. Optionally select a Contract template. Bookings created with the package automatically attach a draft contract from that template.
  9. Select Save package.

Package details

  • Name: Use a client-friendly offering name, such as “Family Story Session” or “Wedding Collection.”
  • Category: Choose the category that best organizes the service. Use Other when none of the available categories fit.
  • Description: Explain what is included and call out important limits or expectations.
  • Cover image: Use a clear, representative image for packages that may appear on your storefront.
  • Price and Retainer: Set the complete package price and any amount required before the remaining balance.
  • Hours and Minutes: Define the expected session length.
  • Delivery timeline: Record the expected time between the session and delivery of the completed work.
  • Deliverables: Add each product or service the client receives. A package needs at least one deliverable before it can be published.
  • Contract template: Select a template when new bookings should begin with a draft contract already attached. You can leave this set to None.

Edit, duplicate, or archive a package

Open the three-dot menu on a package card to manage it.

  • Select Edit to update the package details.
  • Select Duplicate to create a new package using the existing package as a starting point. Review the name, price, retainer, duration, description, deliverables, contract template, and cover image before using or publishing the copy.
  • Select Archive when you no longer want to offer the package.

Archiving removes the package from package lists and selectors. It does not cancel bookings that already use the package. Archived packages cannot currently be restored; if you need the same offering again, create a new package with the appropriate details.

Publish a package to your storefront

The Storefront page controls package visibility and display order on your public booking page. A package must be complete and available before clients can choose it.

  1. Open Storefront.

  2. Find the Packages section.

  3. Turn on the toggle for each package you want clients to see. A gray toggle means the package is hidden.

A green toggle means the package is enabled and visible on your storefront.

  4. Arrange packages in the preferred order using the drag handle or the up and down arrows.

  5. Preview the storefront before sharing it.

Before publishing: Check the price, duration, description, and cover image from a client’s point of view. Internal notes should not be included in public package copy.
