2018

the year a rain-soaked idea became Vignette

It started with a long drive in the pouring rain.

We met in 2010. Years went by, and in 2017 we got married and started a family. Now we're raising four awesome kiddos—and building the company we talked about long before it had a name.

In 2018, on a long drive through the pouring rain, we started talking about how fragmented photography software had become. Too many tools. Too many logins. Too much time spent making systems work together. That's when the question landed:

What if photographers could run their entire business from one beautiful, ridiculously easy-to-use platform?

We wanted to build it right then. But our family kept growing, life kept moving, and the project stayed a dream—one we refused to let go of.

Because the problem never went away. Photographers were still bouncing between apps, rebuilding the same information, and holding entire businesses together with workarounds.
