Send and Manage Contracts

Send, resend, revise, cancel, duplicate, download, and follow a contract through signing.

The Contracts page groups agreements by status so you can see which ones need action.

Use the contract filters

The Contracts page includes these filters:

  • All shows every contract.
  • Needs Attention groups sent, viewed, and change-requested contracts that may need follow-up.
  • Draft shows contracts that have not been sent.
  • Sent shows agreements delivered to a client.
  • Changes Requested shows agreements a client returned with a revision note.
  • Signed shows completed agreements.
  • Expired shows agreements whose signing window ended.

Select a contract to review the document, client, status, and activity. A contract may show Viewed after the client opens it; find viewed contracts under Needs Attention or All.

Know which actions are available

The actions change with the contract’s status:

  • A Draft can be sent, edited, or deleted.
  • A Sent or Viewed contract can be resent, edited, or canceled.
  • A contract with Changes Requested can be edited, resent, or canceled.
  • A Signed contract can be downloaded as a PDF.
  • A Canceled contract can be deleted.

Open a contract to find its status-specific actions. Every contract row also includes Duplicate, which creates a separate draft based on the same agreement.

Send a contract

  1. Open the draft.
  2. Review the client email, document, amounts, dates, and studio details.
  3. Save any final changes.
  4. Select Send.

The client receives a private signing link. After a successful send, the contract moves from Draft to Sent.

Respond to requested changes

Open the contract to read the client’s note. Review the requested change, update the agreement where appropriate, and send the revised version.

Do not treat a requested change as a signature. The contract remains incomplete until the client signs the final version.

Resend, duplicate, or cancel

  • Resend emails the signing link to the client again.
  • Duplicate creates a new independent draft.
  • Cancel stops the active signing workflow.

Read the confirmation before canceling. A canceled contract is not the same as a canceled booking.

Download the final contract

After signing, open the contract and download the signed PDF for your records. The signed information and activity remain connected to the contract in Vignette.

Good to know: Removing or deleting a draft is different from canceling a contract already sent to a client. Use the action that matches the current status.
