Account & Billing
How does Vignette Launch Unlimited pricing work?
When enrollment is open, the first 100 Launch Unlimited customers receive every Vignette feature and unlimited storage for $35 per month after a 30-day free trial.
The live pricing section shows whether launch slots are still available. When enrollment is open, create your studio to reserve a slot. Add a payment method during the free trial and you will be charged nothing until the trial ends.
The $35 monthly rate remains yours while the subscription stays continuously active. If you cancel, the rate is released permanently and a future subscription uses the plans available at that time.
The Launch Unlimited rate is already a special introductory price and does not stack with the standard monthly introductory discount.
Review plans and billingWhat happens when I delete my Vignette account?
Your account enters a 30-day deletion period before its data is permanently removed.
As soon as you request deletion, your account is marked for deletion and normal access to Vignette is restricted. You can still review the deletion status or cancel the request during the 30-day period.
After the 30 days, Vignette begins permanently removing your account, galleries, photos, and other studio data. This cannot be undone once the permanent removal begins.
Limited billing or audit records may be retained when required for legal, accounting, or security purposes. Those records are separated from the deleted studio account.
Manage account access and recoveryCan I cancel an account deletion request?
Yes. You can cancel during the 30-day deletion period and return the account to active status.
Sign in during the deletion period and choose the option to cancel deletion. Do this before the date shown on the deletion status screen.
If Vignette scheduled your subscription to end as part of the deletion request, it will also try to restore that subscription. Review the Billing page afterward to confirm your plan and renewal date.
Review your Vignette planWhat happens to my subscription when I delete my account?
Vignette schedules the subscription to end at the close of the current billing period.
The deletion request is only accepted after the subscription cancellation has been scheduled successfully. If it cannot be scheduled, your account stays active and Vignette will tell you that the request did not finish.
If you cancel account deletion within the 30-day period, Vignette will try to resume a subscription that was scheduled to end. Check Billing to confirm the result.
Manage your Vignette subscriptionCan Vignette recover my data after my account is deleted?
Not after permanent removal begins. Cancel the request within the 30-day period if you want to keep the account.
During the 30-day deletion period, canceling the request restores normal account access.
After permanent removal starts, the studio data and photo files are not recoverable. Download anything you need and keep your own backups before requesting deletion.
Manage your storageGalleries & Photos
How does gallery archiving work?
In Vignette, “archiving” means a shared gallery expires after its active period; it is not immediately deleted.
A gallery stays active for 90 days beginning when it is first shared. Vignette sends lifecycle reminders before it expires.
When it expires, you can still see and manage the gallery in your studio, but clients can no longer open it. The gallery is scheduled for permanent deletion 365 days after expiration.
This expiration process is different from manually deleting a gallery, which removes it and its photo files immediately.
Understand the gallery lifecycleWhat happens when a gallery expires?
Clients lose access, while you can still open the gallery in Vignette and decide whether to reactivate or delete it.
Existing client links stop opening the gallery after expiration. The gallery and photos remain available to you during the retention period.
If no action is taken, Vignette permanently deletes the gallery 365 days after it expires.
Understand the gallery lifecycleCan I reactivate an expired gallery?
Yes, as long as it has not reached permanent deletion.
Reactivating starts a new gallery lifecycle, restores access through the existing shared links, and resets each recipient’s photo-download count.
Vignette does not automatically send a new invitation when you reactivate. Let your clients know that the gallery is available again.
Reactivate an expired galleryWhat happens when I manually delete a gallery?
The gallery is removed from your workspace and its photo files are deleted immediately.
Clients lose access, and the gallery is no longer available in your active workspace. Vignette does not provide a user-facing restore for a manually deleted gallery.
Download any files you need and confirm your own backup before deleting. Expiring a gallery is safer when you only want to stop client access temporarily.
Manage a galleryHow long does Vignette keep gallery photos?
Shared galleries are active for 90 days, then retained for 365 more days before permanent deletion.
The 90-day active period begins when the gallery is first shared. You can reactivate an expired gallery before its permanent deletion date.
Manually deleting a gallery removes its photos immediately, so the lifecycle timeframes do not apply to a manual deletion.
Understand the gallery lifecycleWhat counts toward my Vignette storage?
Your stored gallery photos count toward usage, including the files Vignette prepares for displaying them.
The Storage page summarizes how much space your photo library is using and helps you find large galleries.
Deleting a gallery frees the storage used by its photos. Because deletion is permanent, keep your own backup before removing work to make space.
Review and manage storageShould I keep my own backup of photos stored in Vignette?
Yes. Keep a separate, organized backup of every original photo you deliver.
Vignette helps you deliver and manage galleries, but it should not be the only copy of your photography archive.
Keep at least one backup outside Vignette, and verify it before manually deleting a gallery or closing your account.
Manage your storageSharing & Downloads
Do clients download original or watermarked photos?
Downloads use the original photo files. Watermarks protect the displayed gallery previews.
A watermark changes how a photo is shown in the gallery, not the original file stored for download.
Use recipient access and download limits to control delivery. Preview the client gallery before sharing so you can confirm the display watermark looks right.
Add and preview a watermarkHow do gallery download limits work?
The limit counts individual photos and is tracked separately for each recipient.
For example, downloading ten photos uses ten downloads. Each invited recipient has their own count, so one client’s downloads do not use another client’s allowance.
Reactivating an expired gallery resets recipient download counts. Review the recipient settings when sharing to choose the right limit.
Share a gallery with clientsCan I revoke a shared gallery link?
Yes. Remove or disable the recipient’s access from the gallery sharing controls.
Gallery access is managed per recipient. Revoking one person does not need to interrupt access for everyone else.
If you share again later, confirm the recipient details and download limit before sending the new invitation.
Manage gallery recipientsBookings & Business
Does deleting a person also delete their bookings, contracts, or galleries?
No. Removing a person from your active contact list does not delete the connected business records.
Their contact is removed from your active people list, while existing bookings, galleries, and contracts remain available for your records.
Review those connected items separately if you also need to cancel, expire, or delete them.
Add and manage peopleWhat happens when I cancel a booking?
The booking status changes to canceled, but its gallery, contract, and payment records are not automatically deleted.
Those connected records may need separate action. Review any client refund, payment plan, contract obligation, calendar entry, and gallery access before finishing the cancellation.
Keeping the booking record gives you a history of what changed without removing related business information.
Manage a bookingWhat is the difference between Vignette billing and client payments?
Vignette billing pays for your software plan; client payments are money your photography clients pay to your studio.
Manage your Vignette plan, invoices, and renewal details on the Billing page.
Connect your payment account and manage photography payment plans, receipts, and payouts in the client-payment areas. The two billing relationships are separate.
Set up online client paymentsAre the tax estimates in Finance official tax advice?
No. Finance provides planning estimates, not a filed tax return or professional tax advice.
Use the estimates to understand possible set-asides and review your photography income and expenses.
Tax rules vary by business and location. Confirm filing decisions and final amounts with a qualified tax professional.
