Watermarks protect display images while leaving the original download files unchanged.
Open watermark settings
- Open the gallery.
- Move to the gallery settings area.
- Open the watermark editor.
- Choose a text watermark or upload a PNG watermark image.
Changes in the editor are a preview until you explicitly apply them.
Adjust the watermark
Use the available controls to change:
- Text or watermark image
- Size
- Opacity
- Position
Preview the watermark over several light and dark photos. A mark that looks balanced on one image may disappear or become distracting on another.
Save a reusable style
You can keep up to four reusable watermark templates.
- Create Template saves the current design as a new reusable option.
- Update Template replaces the selected template with the current design.
- Selecting an active template loads its settings into the editor.
- Selecting the active template again returns to a new, unsaved design.
Templates are identified visually rather than by custom names.
Apply the watermark
Select Apply Watermark when the preview is ready. Vignette saves the complete design and starts processing the gallery.
Keep these points in mind:
- Processing happens in the background.
- Clients continue to see the last successfully applied watermark while a new version is processing.
- Uploading more photos may be temporarily unavailable during active processing.
- Originals and standard display files are not overwritten.
If processing fails
Open the watermark status and use the retry action. If a job appears stuck, wait for the app to report its final status before starting another change.
You can cancel active processing or disable the watermark. Disabling returns client viewing to the standard display images.
Good to know: Deleting a watermark template does not remove a watermark already applied to a gallery. The gallery keeps its own applied settings.
