Storage shows how much space your account uses and which galleries contribute most to that total.
Check storage usage
Open Storage from the main navigation. The header shows used storage and the capacity included with your current plan.
If the plan provides unlimited storage, Vignette labels it accordingly rather than showing a fixed maximum.
Find large galleries
Use Galleries storage usage to review galleries and their stored size. Search by gallery or client name when you need a specific item.
Open a gallery from the list to review its photos before deciding what to remove.
What uses storage
Gallery uploads include the original photo and supporting display versions used to make gallery browsing faster. The storage view summarizes usage in a photographer-friendly way rather than listing every supporting file.
Temporary incomplete uploads are cleaned up automatically and may not disappear from every usage display immediately.
Reduce storage safely
Before deleting photos or a gallery:
- Confirm you have your own backed-up originals.
- Download anything that must be retained.
- Check whether clients still need access.
- Review the gallery’s expiration and deletion dates.
- Delete only after confirming the correct gallery.
The trash action on a storage row deletes the entire gallery, not only a temporary or cached copy. Read the gallery name in the confirmation before continuing.
Deleting a gallery removes its stored photo files and cannot be undone from the photographer app. Choose Cancel if the name is not the gallery you intended to remove.
Increase capacity
Use Increase storage capacity when the current plan offers an upgrade path. Review the billing change before confirming.
Important: Vignette is a client delivery workspace, not your only archive. Maintain an independent, tested backup of original photography files.
