Vignette writes a clear starting email for bookings, appointments, meeting requests, and galleries. You can keep that email or add your own voice before sending it.
Open the email preview
Look for Preview email before you send or resend:
- A full-session booking invitation
- A direct appointment
- A meeting request
- A gallery or gallery sneak peek
The preview shows the subject, your optional message, studio branding, client details, and the button the client will use.
For a booking, open the … menu beside Send to client. For a gallery, open Preview.
Change the subject or message
- Open Preview email.
- Edit the subject if the default needs more detail.
- Add a short personal message.
- Read the complete preview.
- Select Save changes.
The next send or resend uses the saved subject and message.
Keep the message short. Put dates, prices, and instructions in the connected booking, appointment, or gallery so there is one clear source of truth.
Return to the Vignette wording
Select Reset to default to restore the suggested subject and remove the personal message from your draft. Then select Save changes if you want that reset to become the saved version.
The status beside the buttons shows Saved when nothing is waiting to be saved.
Resetting without saving does not change the email used later.

Understand what preview does
Preview is a safe practice view. It does not:
- Send an email
- Start a booking or questionnaire
- Give a gallery recipient access
- Mark an invitation as sent
- Use a client's real download limit
Before the first real send, a button in the preview may use a sample link that does not work. The real private link is added when Vignette sends the invitation.
What Vignette does behind the scenes
The preview and the delivered email are made from the same saved information. This helps the preview match the email your client receives.
Vignette also checks the connected work again at send time. For example, a booking invitation can be stopped if required details are missing, even if an older preview looked complete.
Keep private information out of email: Never place passwords, full card numbers, bank details, verification codes, or private internal notes in a client message.
